This is a new record – second day in a row that I wrote about something nice……..well actually it is something very indulgent, but it raised money for the Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation……….a Pop-Up Pie Party! 

Molly – the director of the CUSF is a fabulous pie maker – she showed up at my house with all the ingredients for pie crust, all the tools, 6 already made pies to try, and 8 bottles of wine to pair with the pies……………All I did was sit in a chair and drink wine – then I got up and made two pie crusts – well mostly I flung flour all over myself and the kitchen floor – but I did end up with two pie crusts in the freezer. 

I think there were 13 of us in total – talking, drinking, making pie crust, eating pie – seriously the only thing that would have improved the night was if a hot guy had come in to clean up while I continued to sit in my chair with a glass of wine.  So that will be an enhancement to the next Pop-Up Pie Party – scantily clad men to tidy up. 

Life is good when you open the door and a party comes in!!

Tomorrow I promise I will bitch about something – I mean really, I don’t do nice three days in a row – two is pushing it.
