Haiku

With warmest regards

To the early daffodil

First blooms in our yard

Regarding Daffodils

More so than ever before

I am regarding our daffodils

The first bloomers around our pond

All in yellow and white

I have paid them no regard  in past years

But now rather than rushing past

I pause and look out the window

And offer them my very best regards
